Love to be a fly on the wall.
A Mauritian Court has started to investigate the circumstances regarding the grounding of a Japanese owned bulk carrier two miles off the coast of Mauritius last year. MOL the Japanese operator have already admitted that the crew were trying to get a mobile phone signal. The Indian Master is blaming the Sri Lankan Chief Officer while he in turn blames the Master!! The Chief Engineer giving evidence says he became aware of the grounding whilst he was on the bridge sat in the Pilots chair.....on his mobile phone!! The ships proper course was supposed to take her 22 miles off the coast not 2 miles. She didn't have a chart to show the depths so close to the coast!

And after the mess they made I hope it is a goodly stretch, the place was pristine before they stuffed up.
