Default Anyone have any more info on this sinking?

    I just read this-

A CANADIAN sailing ship filled with high school and college students from several countries, including Australia, has sunk off the coast of Brazil.

    Hi Frank.
There's a lot about it on TV here in NZ because a young Auckland girl was on it, first time away from her family and by all accounts very shy, a very relieved mother and father on TV.
Apparently she was under two storm sails when a massive down draft of wind sent her over iin minutes.
Brought back memories of the Pamir [Which my brother had sailed on] that went down in the South Atlantic.
taking all those young cadets with her.
    Cheers Des

I haven't seen much on tv here in oz, I don't watch much tv anyway. I've seen a bit on the internet about it since. When I saw the first bits of news about it, it was very sketchy and thought there was a major disaster. Since then of course we have all learned that they were all saved. As an ex merchant seaman I was obviously concerned. In my 9 years at sea I saw what the sea can offer and have always treated it with respect.
