RAF flying boat tenders return to N Ireland
Some may find this an interesting read. Let me know if the link will not open and I will see if I can sort it out. The flying boats from Lough Erne took part in the finding of the Bismark.

Re: RAF flying boat tenders return to N Ireland
As a young boy I was sent from London to Clonelly, Co. Fermanagh early in the war to my Mother's family farm on the shores of Lough Erne. I remember the Catalinas and Sunderlands flying overhead out to the Atlantic to engage the enemy. Thrilled to see the RAF personnel attend my local Tubrid church on Sundays.
Memorable times - all heroes to a young boy!

Re: RAF flying boat tenders return to N Ireland
For many years after the war there were a number of them on the river as we sailed from Southampton.
All shrouded in canvas looking more like some thing from the morgue.
Happy daze John in Oz.
