Is ammonia the fuel of the future for shipping?
Interesting article on how ammonia can be used as a fuel to reduce greenhouse emissions from shipping.

Re: Is ammonia the fuel of the future for shipping?
My understanding of this is that ammonia will be the basis of the Hydrogen driven vehicles.
But if Norway, and| I have seen first hand some of their efforts, or any such other country is willing to try it then I would say they are onto a winner.
Such countries are often at the front of such new technology.

Re: Is ammonia the fuel of the future for shipping?
Norway always willing to try things because they have the space and little traffic, the first Scandi country to change from driving on the left to driving on the right, no traffic allowed on the roads from 1800 hours on day 1 until 0800 on day 2 allowing all the traffic signs and lights to be changed round. They also advised that all vehicles should drive 200' apart, even today that recommendation stands at 50', try that in London or any other UK town and you would have two double deckers and 6 cars fighting for the space.

Yes Ivan, only about 5.5 million live there.
But in UK they now have a train and a truck running on Hydrogen.
here in Oz we have six such cars all in Canberra.
They are prototypes made by Hyundai who believe the future is in Hydrogen, not electric, vehicles.
