Seems France 'REFUSED to take seven Nigerian stowaways': the oil tanker tried to set down the stowaways at a French port in the days before the siege – but the request was refused, reported the shipping journal Lloyd's List.

Latest development this evening is that the ship spent time off St Nazaire trying to get the French to take the stowaways but they refused. So the UK ends up lumbered with them.

We have had around seven hundred boat people in camps for about seven years, the Govt has now given them some money and the chance to work so that they can save enough money for their passage home, as they are to be out of Aus in six months. I suppose we will now have d%%^ck brains calling for the govt to let them stay, but both sides of politics have said they will never ever be allowed to stay in Aus. Some of these people are wanted for murder in their pwn country's, so maybe they will help get them to leave.

Two children are among four migrants who died after a boat sank as they tried to reach the UK yesterday.

Authorities have said the children were aged five and eight, and the death toll could rise amid continued search operations.

This tragic news highlights the dangers that come with crossing the Channel.

Des, we may be a bit hard on them here but we do not want their kind.
Migrants will always be welcome in Oz, but they must come in through the front door, not the back.

Much harder for UK as they can come in via the channel, maybe next year when BREXIT is done they will be able to shut the door.
