Ships at Turkey
Please find below ships sent to scrap due to the Covid 19 outbreak.
I have no idea of the ships names only that some may have belonged to Carnival.

Re: Ships at Turkey
If you look carefully at those ships, or know anything of the cruise industry you will understand they are al of the older style of ship.
the number of new ones now being designed and built will far out place those that are now in the scrap yards.
Happy daze John in Oz.

Re: Ships at Turkey
However the fact remains John that the Industry is is dire trouble , and why on Erath they are still Building those Massive Ships is beyond me. I suppose though that contracts were signed a long time ago on most,so they have to cough up.
But if the News is correct , then the big Boys are going t loose Millions and Millions.
There is no bright side to the Shipping (Cruise ) Industry at this point of time, and if things dont start to improve very soon, then its Tickets for many large Companies!
Just for me , well i think that the Gold Pot is over for all the Giants and their Millions.
Cheers

Just like the British Red Duster fleet when UK signed to join EU, and we were all given notice to quit or go elsewhere.

Don't worry Mr Mann'ering the prophets of doom are alive and well. At sea we sailed through storms/hurricanes/typhoons and came out the other side (Yes I know some didn't) and on the way our spirit and fortitude made us go and help others in distress, lets keep that spirit that kept us going in adverse times and not succumb to the doom and gloom so willingly portrayed by all forms of media.
No doubt the exocets will now have been launched.

Re: Ships at Turkey
This pandemic has hit Carnival hard. It is rumored that they will dispose of another 15 vessels. A couple have gone to Fred Olsen from HAL.
Two of the ships in the picture are ex-Pulmatur Cruises, Monarch (ex RCL ship Monarch of the Seas) and Soverign (ex RCL, Soverign of the Seas). Pulmantur as a company are a victim of the pandemic as well.
