    Default Quizzes

There is an abundance of quiz shows on t.v. but when I was at sea, apart from Saturday night movies we used to regularly hold quiz nights. On of the main sources of quiz questions could be found in an encyclopedia that was always in those boxes of books supplied by seafarers society but often we would have music quizzes made up by recording the opening lines of popular songs, also with a world wide chart folio that was a good source of geographical questions along with browns nautical almanac, the Bosuns manual for seafaring questions, in fact thinking back there were usually plenty of books, music tapes, even your own knowledge, to make up around a 100+ quiz questions on a range of subjects
Some of the quizzes would severely test even university challenge contestants.
Really enjoyed not only taking part in the quiz session but also the making up of them. Perhaps that is where my love of trivia stems from.

Not a quiz, adding for a bit of fun.

Self score and discuss each others answers.

Ultimately, if enough take up the challenge,
a winner will be self evident.

As it it is John's thread he should be the judge.

Just a bit of fun, will think up a suitable prize for the best wrong answers.

WE had a few of them in the pig at times.
Always stared out with the best of intentions, but then some smart Alec would question the answer given by some.
Then on for young and old.
Just sit in the corner with a pint and watch the show.
    Happy daze John in Oz.

I have not read all of your reply yet Roger,
thanks for entering the spirit but it took
only one glance to see you would not have all.

Certain you are on the right track and a big credit,
    thus far.
