    There not having much luck in salving the oil and also defending the captain's actions maybe a bit difficult.

    Thank you John, as usual giving us up to date news, so we don't have to rely on the bull coming from the general media.
    This is a terrible new tragedy for the people of Mauritius, and for the men's family's who have lost their lives.

    The lawyers representing the captain and chief officer are asking for all charges to be dropped, this despite the vessel making a 55 mile deviation from its intended route according to historical A.I.S. data.

    They say that the Indian Captain had been at sea for 45 years, unless he wasn't informed of what was going on, that is enough time to for him to know he was making a mistake.
