    Vic, I mentioned this post of yours when you first posted it to a local historian and ex seaman Tommy O,S,ullivan. He trolls the Liverpool echo on a regular basis, He is 85 yrs old but to look at him you would say he was in his 60s, He found no reference of a collision on the Mersey on the date you mentioned. Terry.
