    Default Ww2 and the Americans

See Apple TV is bring out a movie with Tom Hanks on how they (Americans) won the battle of the Atlantic.
    Seen the trailer, over exaggerated.

The film is based on the 1955 novel The Good Shepherd by C. S. Forester.

All movies today are over exaggerated. I won't even go. I still like the 1943 production of " Action in the North Atlantic " with Raymond Massey, Alan Hale & Humphrey Bogart...

    Think the term is adaptation,
it is quite the norm allover,
    Every EG: Agatha Christie,
    movie, is an adaptation.

AS per usual they have once again got it wrong.
Every one knows it was John Wayne who won the war, Battle of the Atlantic, and every other war .
    Happy daze John in Oz.

Life is too short to blend in.

Keith, I am waiting to see how this guy does in the movie, Stephen Graham a scouse actor born in Kirkby on Merseyside he plays an officer in the movie don't get me wrong he has done some good stuff in the past but i have never heard him put on a yankee accent, That is going to be the first time me and the wife will have been out for an evening take in the movie and then probably a light nose bag and a few drinks, I know a lot of people who have still not ventured out for a pint in the pub, Lets just hope we are all safe to do so. Terry.

The best war film I saw, and have seen several times, is The Cruel Sea, with Jack Hawkins. If it matches that film, then it will be good. We will see, kt
