Carnival Cruise Line
From Cruise Mapper, Carnival will dispose of 13 ships from its combined fleets.
The ships will either be resold for further use, or sold for scrap.
They also announced that the fleet rebuilding program will be at a slower pace.

Re: Carnival Cruise Line
Bit of false news there.
Yes there are as many as 13 ships within the Carnival corporation, which takes in Cunard, P&O UK and Australia, Seaborne, Costa, Princess, Holland America, Aida Italy and a few other smaller companies.
None will go to scrap, those sold will either go to other companies such as Royal Caribbean, or sold to other corporations and leased back.
By doing this they create cash which can then be used to build new ships and improve the existing fleet.
This is not new, some of the ships have been on the market for a number of years.
Message today from Princess Cruises explains it al in detail.
Happy daze John in Oz.
