    Default Discharge Book

I have a seaman's discharge book dated 4/4/1927 in continuation of a previous book. Any help obtaining record of previous book would be appreciated.

    OK Found this

Born 1886 Queenstown Cork Ireland CR1 BT349 Series
    Rating Fireman

After the Ship 146530 British Mariner Tanker Built Jarrow there are no other Entries on his next Record Card it is just a Blank Card , so that was the end of his Service.
His first Ship started in Jan of 1922.

Joe. Picked my first book up In North Shields , 2 Book up In Clyde ports, and 3 book In south Shieilds. Used to be able to remember them by the pubs close by.North Shields next door to the Jungle, and opposite to the Golden Fleece, have trouble with the Clyde Ports though as cant remember getting so assume Betty’s bar was close by, the. 3 book in South Shields take your pick of the pube in the market Square. All these MMOs now defunct together with a lot of the pubs. If it wasn’t for the GPS system would likely get lost today..Hope you received the private Mail ok , I never am sure whether has gone ok or not . Cheers JS.

Hi Vernon, Thanks for the info. I have details of ships sailed in after 1921. The previous book is my interest. There was definitely a previous book as I have seen it. It contained discharge records from White Star vessels s.s. Baltic, Adriatic, Celtic. Etc, etc. As Queenstown was a transatlantic port he may have joined there. REGARD

    Hi Joe
As you say there was a previous Book and you saw it, then all i can suggest is to wait till the Archives Reopen fully.
There should then be his CR10 Docs which will hold all his Sea Service Records (Cards)
    Cheers
