Yes that’s correct John. The Ravensworth one of those built for Port Talbot I was on it 66 during the seaman’s strike.think the Beechwood 10 years late, was also in Port Talbot I think but hard to remember as for 5 years in between was on 4 foreign flag ships of a much more difference in trade type.JS

PostWar Doxford Ships..As a result of demand the first of 3 ships were built for Panamanian interests The AGHIA MARINA was the first all welded ship built by Doxfords , which resulted in the saving of some 350 tons of steel in construction. It was also estimated that less 600 BHP was required to propel the vessel at the same comparable riveted ship and her daily fuel consumption would be about 2.5 tons less. This first ship was built in 1954.

AGHIA MARINA 1954 Yard No.803 Grk flag Scrapped 1980
AGHIOS NICOLAOS 1955 Yard No..805 Grk flag .Wrecked after fire and grounding 1978,off Cotonou,W.Africa.
DONA OURANIA 1956 Yard No.812 Liberian flag.Scrapped 1982

So all had 'normal' lifespans of about 30 years with several owners each.

#19 Just reading some of these old posts , Red lead Ted your #19 of this post caught my eye and the Linkmoor was ex Runcimans not Ropners .good excuse to find if you ok , as you haven’t been posting for some time ? Cheers JS
