Hi Doc....Spot on info there.
That website: https://www.uboat.net/maps/grid.html tallies with the PC Game "Silent Hunter 3"
They use the same grid systems as shown depicted in the website:
Makes the "game" (Of sinking allied convoys!) very realistic with such attention to detail as that.

Hi Your reference K96 I think refers to the pennant number of a Royal Navy escort, in this case AUBRIETIA. K96. 1940 Aubrietia was one of the early 'Flower' class corvettes. If this is the case, other references would possibly start with L D or F. Hope this may be of help.

It gives comment along the lines "??/??/1943 left EE at 0.630 proceeded to EB arrived ??/??/1943". I do not have the other document in front of me at the moment to be more exact, but that would be a voyage from Port of Spain to Panama for example!

I think you are right that some of the references in my document must be to do with the class of ship, others as I have explained to Doc Vernon are definitely an map area code! i think I am getting somewhere!

Just thinking Hazel do you have any actual movement cards of any of the Ships?
I only ask as they may be of interest to you, ? If you give me a list of the Ships in Question i will see if i can obtain their movement cards but no promises as not all are available !
Need the Year of the Ships Voyage that you are interested in.
