Re: Spanish civil war
My comment has nothing to do with the current situation #27, so please do not attempt to infer that it is , it was reference to something from the past, over 100 years ago.
From that epidemic came the modern day version of Influenza which we all now are very aware of.
Unlike then we now have a vaccine for it, but as it can mutate each year modifications have to be made to it for it to continue to be effective.

My reply was to do with the question: starting in Spanish, ..... any more ?
Any disclaimer, needed to be added with the reply as I am
not going to be led down the road leading to banned topics.
The clue was starting in Spain - that is it simples.

Re: Spanish civil war
Rhys, is it worth running your words through Google Translate and asking your question on a Basque website?

Re: Spanish civil war
Thanks to everyone above, especially @keithattregenna and @ianmckinlay, I've put together a brief history of the Ponzano's activities in the war and her sinking in 1939. The British Newspaper Archive is adding pages at a tremendous rate and gave me so much more information, and pictures, than five years ago. https://docs.google.com/document/d/1...it?usp=sharing
Best wishes,
