Speeding fines
Not from Mr. Plod but by the Canadian government on ships exceeding the 10 knot speed limit in the gulf of st. Lawrence.

Re: Speeding fines
Bring back the Old King line ships with their little Doxford engines they were designed not to exceed 10 knots

Re: Speeding fines
The bay here in Melbourne has a 5 knot limit but from what I have seen very few know of it or are able to abide by it.
Speed limits are there for a reason but do vary from port to port.

Re: Speeding fines
My son was pulled over for speeding on his motor bike.
Cops took the bike for three days.
$800 for storage and $40 to get his license back.
Now waiting for the actual speeding ticket.

Our one young Grandson has had his Licence suspended ( well he actually already is on suspension so that a double whammy) for Hoon Racing in the Streets "Burnouts" His Car impounded for three Months,* Very unroadworthy with Bald Tyres and extras fitted to make the Car faster and louder)so that will cost to get out ,plus a big fine coming up,he actually has to appear in Local Court soon.
When will these Young one learn!

Re: Speeding fines
I woke up with a start at 3/30 am last Sunday, thought something outside had woken me up, about half an hour later heard the helicopter come over heading for the hospital, On the radio next day, a car had left the road 10 kilometers up the Monaro Highway from Cooma, they said a man and little girl were killed when a car left the Rd at 3/30!! In the local paper the police had amended the little girl to a 21 year old, the picture of the car looked like a ball of scrap, the girl had been thrown out [No seat belt most likely} three others in the car escaped serious injury, speeding and maybe drink is suspected . As Vernon said when will they learn.
One thing is puzzling, why would I have picked up something in a deep sleep that happened over 10 kilometers away .

Sometimes really strange things happen with the Mind, its a very powerful thing and as I too have had a few strange experiences similar to that,in the past I cannot say how or why these happen,i sometimes think that there is some sort of telepathy going on at certain times, like in a dream (and I do think that Dreams are actually things that one has or is about to do ??) like one instance Years ago when I dreamt about this Frightening Storm, and there was a terrible Lightening Bolt that struck the House.
Not that this frightened me at all and not that this happened really, but 2 days later there was a Horse Race which had this Horse called Lightening Bolt in it,it was too much of a Coincedence for me so I backed it to the hilt at some 14 to 1 odds!
Romped home mate! Now that was just one thing,i have as said had several.
Cheers
Always listen to the voices at the back of your Mind,it tells you things and many don't heed them!

Re: Speeding fines
Young ones will never learn.
Did we?
Strangest dream I had was when we were tied up in Santos,
Had a dream that I would go ashore, get into the booze and woman, and miss the ship.
All came true.
Why cant I dream of winning the lottery ?
