Hi Keith.
I rather like the picture of the Queen, especially in view of the Marine Piracy.

Latest news is a British tanker is moving into Iranian waters, which is suspected to have been seized by iranian guards, certainly getting to the warm stage, kt

The tanker is the Stena Impero managed by Northern Marine of Clydebank.
Interesting to see what happens now.

Re: This should liven things up in the Gulf
It's the crews of these ships that I feel sorry for, innocent seamen going about their duties, now about to become political pawns held
by very unstable people, the Government should hang it's head in shame for overseeing the decline of our Royal Navy, "Not talking politics
just the truth as I see it". cheers

Bit more on the Stena impero, British registered but thought the navy were meant to escort our ships through the Straits. Reports say it was approached by a gun boat and a helicopter. Iran has claimed responsibility.

Re: This should liven things up in the Gulf
As 6 states, i thought they were being escorted through that area, one would expect us to send more warships out there now, don't know how many we have available, and presumably could run a convoy system through there ?, plus have military personnel on board. Whatever, its a tricky situation, brought about it seems by a EU order, carried out by us Brits, i wonder what the EU response will be????, kt

Keith, Ivan, more chance of catching a bus than a response from the EU.
Interesting fact some of the crew are Russian, wonder what the big Bear will do?
