You will need to apply for his CRS10 which will have his full Merchant Navy Record
Best obtainable at Kew in Person but you can apply online .

The Ships I sailed on ..as I remember...were all N.Z.Shipping Co.Ltd and Federal Steam Navigation Co.Ltd and were ;
RANGITANE, RANGITOTO, RUAHINE, WHANGAROA, HINAKURA, and MV CAMBRIDGE.

I don't have my Discharge Book of course because of 'jumping ship'. I tried to locate it through the Cardiff Archives two years ago but to no avail.

You can apply for a Record of your Seamand Pouch (Unfortunately no Re Issue of Book is available ) at the following Link.
This will give you basic details of your Service.
You then need to get your CRS10 Records if you want a full rundown of your Service,this holds all you will need.
