Default Last wanna buy a battleship

Four scuttled German WW1 battleships are up for sale on eBay at price of £1m.
The sale includes the rights of the buyer to enter the ships and remove artefacts for sale (after permission granted).
The ships are resting on the bottom at Scapa Flow.

I seem to remember many many years ago, that shortly after the war, a guy bought the salvage rights, and went down and removed all the expensive metals, bearings etc, now if my memory is correct, most of the valuable stuff will have been removed already, if the story is correct, the guy was very wealthy man in a very short time.

As i understand it, there were no sailors that went down with ships when scuttled, thee was reported to be a small battle with the British crews to stop the scuttling, and some lives were lost, and some ships were attempted to be beached, but no bodies in the wrecks, i could of course be wrong, kt
