    Default From Lloyds

The container ship has replaced the conventional cargo ship, replaced on the South African run the conventional Reefer, and has led in many cases to a an overall reduction in Merchant Ships.
The conventional Reefer is still hanging on, as many routes have not been containerised and Lloyds estimate that by 2030 there will be at least 300 Reefer ships still plying there business in sailing the Oceans.
S we can still expect to see some nice looking ships.

    Default Re: From Lloyds

When still working up until 2008, always saw conventual reefer vessels discharging in Antwerp, bananas, fruit and meat boats. There was a whole dock just past the small locks that was always full of general cargo and reefer ships.
