    I don’t suppose the author would know if on the page of complete crew list of 1957 -1964, if #40 Brown Allan H 2nd. Mate , was the Allan Brown ex master out of Moor Line Ltd. I sailed with him when he was mate about 1960 and he was looking then to go as a Barrier Reef pilot when we were running between the sugar ports in Queensland. And Japan. I heard he had to go on the coast to get. The time in for the Barrier Reef pilotage. Wondered if same bloke. Was older than me so is either sailing today in the earths atmosphere or sitting in some retirement village. Funnily enough when we loaded in Cairns we never went up. The coastal route , but straight out through the Grafton Passage and straight across to the Jomard Passage , a little used way in those days. Years later when master myself used the same way much to my advantage, the old timers had a lot to teach us if one listened . JS....

    Not too sure as yet will have to wait for reply but think i have tracked him down on Facebook,as it matches with Photo and where he Lives and Works ,but as said could be someone that looks very much like him ?
