presuming the details above are correct then the Ship he was on then was the
TREVANION Off Number 133212. Built in South Shields,1912 ended Service in 1934.

It is strange that there is only one Ship Number on his CR10 ???
    Wonder Why??

There seems to be a Crew Agreement for that Ship in 1921 at
    https://www.mun.ca/mha/holdings/view...cial_No=133212

I found the letters of recommendation - I will assemble a timeline in due course - It seems he was 3rd officer on the S. S. Trevanion 18/3/21 to 25/1/22 "...keeping the 8 to 12 watch"

I am still puzzle as to that there is only one Ship Number recorded on the CR10 Card~
    Very odd that is.
    Cheers

The National Archives also has Crew lists on that Ship.

Here is a timeline extracted from his letters of recommendation leading up to the end of the 1920s - any insights into the comments etc would be welcome

Well not much one can add is there as it talks for itself ,so to speak.
At least there are other Ships there ,so yu could look those up just for yur interest>
I would say that most all of those Ships would have info on them in the National Archives, also at the Memorial University of Canada.
I got mine from there and amazing how much info is on them.
    Cheers

Antwerpen sinking is listed here - https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_o...17#18_November - no indication of ownership of the vessel however

I assume we are talking of Hains of Whitby. .? I knew 2 persons who served their time there , but would be well after the period in question. JS.
