    Default £495 Million wasted

At a time of defence cuts the Army have just wasted £495 million well I assume they mean the MOD have wasted the money.
Why would the UK armed forces need to employ a private contractor to recruit young men & women to join the armed forces??? Pigs at the trough again I wonder. Maybe they need the press gangs roaming the streets or perhaps take a leaf out of Bernard Cromwell's fictional books & TV Series.Sharp.jpghawksbill.jpg these two lads would soon get them signed up and all they need is the Kings shilling, not £495 million

When I retired I was unfortunately landed with CAPITA as handling my works pension. I have never dealt with such an inefficient and rude bunch of people in my life. In my job I was always paid monthly at two weeks in advance and two weeks in arrears. They informed that they would not be paying me any money for about a month to six weeks. I questioned this and was just told that was their policy and I just had to lump it. I immediately took it up with my past employers who took it up with them and after an apparent battle managed to get me an interim payment to keep me going. They then managed, to my delight to pay me twice. I was immediately contacted and told to repay the second payment immediately. I told them with great enjoyment that it was not my policy to repay anything until I had received my rightful payment in full and at the proper date and not the date they had decided. There was much muttering and some fairly threatening conversations but on the proper date I was due my pension it was paid. I then paid back the over payment. I must admit to using the word CRAPITA in my discussions with them. Fortunately for me and my colleagues who had received similar treatment, my past employer soon after found another firm to deal with our pensions. Therefore I am not surprised with the news about them.

I had a similar problem with Capita in 2007. They delayed information and payments regarding my pension. Capita were the pensioners for the Instructions of Justice.
HR were getting no where,I got the number of the Capua person gave him a call.
Listened to a load of waffle, aI listened patiently until he was finished.
The informed as was an MOJ employee I was employed under the Magistrate terms and condition and these were terms that any payments should be made etc. Etc.
More waffle, the then gave it to him, need the terms and conditions of my employment and delayd payments would attract interest at the current BoE plus 1% on a daily basis.
Within five minutes HR. Were phoning me asking what I had done, the Capita guy had phoned them saying payments would be paid immediately.
Head of ex MoJ HR poned asking what I was up to, told him the story, he agredI was correct and should have never got to hat stage.

So not one positive thing in any of the posts, why does this company continue to get government contracts?

Basically, management agents, economies of scale - they are two big, big is not so beautiful. To many fingers in to many pies and self interest and own profits are key. Taken on as specialists in the field to do a job, you cannot handle yourself. The only real man that should be outstanding in a field should be a farmer.

I have 1 personal experience of ATOS and I found that they were ok but have spoken to many others who found that they felt that they were dealing with a complete bunch of idiots

Where I have experienced is dealing with the companies that run the army bases they often run the infrastructure and the buildings where has the catering and shops tends to be Naffi , if you go back far enough when the army stop running leave themselves it was handed over to the PSA who was in devolved out to companies that seemed to appear from the service sector the idea is that they have a commonality in management supply etc what I have found is that they have many tears of management and much of it they are supposedly spending budgets but do not necessarily have their customer Her Majesty's British armed forces as their highest priority their highest priority is their shareholders but let us say there an army base took 20 million pounds to run last year this Bunch would take it on and tell the government they can do it all for 19 million and then they go round looking how to cut the costs do 50 million pounds worth of work and spend 4 million pounds worth of profit back to their shareholders . He looks like a win-win situation but it isn't it's a cut skimp and save situation where the only winner is the shareholder in the company and of course then management to get the huge bonuses . The old system was bad but the new system is badder

Might be worth checking the directors out, I know G4S has certain board members who are ex MPs or ministers, and were getting away with lame excuses for their performance in the security business (prison vans) and the running of prisons.
