The mind boggles as to how much pollution is created by the "running up the beach" method of scrapping ships. It seems that at present it is acceptable by wealthy countries alike to adopt this procedure while in most developed countries we are all deemed responsible for the removal of special wastes in a environmentally friendly and safe practice. Out of sight, out of mind policys need reviewing by all.
