Reference to the work chant 2-6. I believe it goes back to the days of the wooden navy ships. Guns crews were generally illiterate, and the different roles/positions on a gun crew were identified by numbers. So numbers 2 and 6 had the job of running the gun out, after reloading, by heaving on tackles attached either side of the gun port. Hence the chant " 2 6 Heave".
