The Westoe was our lunchtime local there was an alleyway that went through towards the college . As well as a public bar and lounge bar there was also a gentleman's buffet bar and a snug . We were drinking in the lounge bar at lunchtime Newcastle exhibition was two and Sixpence a pint and a pie which was from a local bakery and came in hot being mince and onions was also two and Sixpence so for £1 you had 3 pints and a pie unless of course you was on the dietary lunch and you just had four pints
Do you find that memories from the past are much clearer than what you did last week ?
