    Gulliver
No need for the internet, there was always books!!!. Shipmasters guide to shipping law, springs to mind. It was in the technical library on every ship I sailed on. Mind you, actually reading the thing was another matter, tended to relay on dredging up memories from business and law lectures and the exam for Masters certificate.

Well Guliver, books for deck and engine crew were no doubt very different from the ones studied by catering crew.

We had such books as, Confessions of a spent youth, Mable goes to London, A rouges guide to females.
All books of learning particularly for first trippers.
    Happy daze John in Oz.
