Hi I’m looking for any information regarding a merchant seaman born 1936 in Nottingham. I have one listing of R603020, bt/372/1706/07. Lawrence Pearce.can anyone help please and also what these numbers stand for .i presume one is his register no. Thank you

??? This is another one so need his name and place of birth (nearest to Nottingham I found is Potters Bar 180 km) and Year if you know Also do you know when he was in the Service?? My guess is around 1950 or thereabouts??

#1. I am no expert Julie but was born inside of 12 moths of me. His discharge number is slightly highrr but that could be distribution and how that went. So it would appear to me he went to sea about 1953. That’s as far as I would or can commit at a guess. So he was 16 or 17 on going to sea also. JWS.

Thank you all. I don’t know if this number is the right one. The birth date is sept 1936. I would imagine around 1953 would be right for joining up.he lived at Berridge Road in Nottingham. I’m struggling to get information but would like to find out what ships he sailed on and any other info. Thank you

The lead I have been following apparently isn’t right. All I know is he lived in Berridge Road nottingham. He was a merchant navy seaman born around 1936. He lived there in 1959. I’m really stuck at the moment. I’ve tried some other sites but finding something about his navy life first may be my first option as I’m not sure he was born in Nottingham . Very perplexed.x
