Re: MN Lapel pins
Hi, Duke, have looked through all the various badges and can’t see the present MN veterans badge, thank goodness for that. The insignia of “ veteran of HM armed forces “ , may make some think twice about selling as most are issued through the appropriate ministry. the MOD. Otherwise every man and his dog would be sporting one ex seafarer or not. We have enough Admirals of the Fleet strolling around when they step ashore off their river pleasure craft. There used to be big fines for impersonating being a member of the armed forces. Like most of the sensible past legislation has disappeared into antiquity. Cheers JS.

Thanks to John and Doc and those that responded to the intent of the thread title. As I said Doc, I do look in periodically but even after my first thread in a while, I am reminded of reasons I went DBS. How can something as simple as a bloody lapel pin gravitate into what followed.
The mind boggles.

Re: MN Lapel pins
Apart from our local branch, my collection began at Tower Hill.
My great grand fathers medals were donated to his home town's
museum about then and though I have inherited my late fathers
medals and collection of badges and his medals, go to much now
fairly incognito and join the many in private tribute and remembrance,
Sadly, will never forget but, worry not far off, may not remember.
Pos, why one does, what one can, when they can.
Lest we Forget.
