World War Two Question.

From other research I know that lists were taken of torpedoed/shipwrecked seamen arriving at Port of Spain, Trinidad.Where could I find such lists if they still survive.
Also lists were taken at Padang/Emmerhaven of British personnel and other servicement who successfully escaped the Fall of Singapore Where could i find these lists?

This is a long term search that has puzzled me for many years and so any help, advice or suggestions would be gratefully received.

He was a member of the British army however when my cousin was in Canberra he visited the war museum his grave number and more info. Was given more than the British War Office could. JWS

Thank you! You give me hope I might yet solve this. According to the British War Office he did not serve in the armed forces in any capacity. We showed a picture of Dad in "navy whites" to the commander of the boat on which he escaped (this was many years after the war) so it is quite certain he was there. Incidentally if anyone turns up a grave number I should be more than a little surprised as he survived the war!
