Re: Seamens Mission.
Some years ago i attended the unvailing of the MN memorial at Liverpool pierheads, and stayed at the Stella Maris mission in Bootle which was run by a wonderful old port chaplain Fr Pat Harnett who swore like a trooper and could drink anyone under the table. The accomodation was very basic but the cooked Breakfast was magnificent.(all cookrd by Fr Pat), The memorial was unveied by the Right Horrible John Prescott (Deputy PM) i looked after the Lord Mayor of Liverpool Bert Herratty DFC, it was a great weekend.
