RMS Britannic
Anyone see the pictures on BBC News regarding the dive on the sunken Britannic. Apparently this businessman has bought the wreck from the British Government.

Re: RMS Britannic
The stupidity/ignorance of News Announcers never fails to amaze me, stating that the 'Britannic' was supposed to be another unsinkable ship, she was blown up by striking mines, what the bloody hell did they expect

Re: RMS Britannic
Ivan when they talk about freedom of the press, I think this is what they mean , to be able to state whatever garbage they consider as suitable to shock and estrange people. Truth does not enter the equation when dealing with the media. They have what we all call freedom of speech, however they fail to realize that the general public also have the same rights and can answer in kind to some of the made up and improbable stories they come out with to try and cover their own career with kudos. If everyone spoke up when appropriate we might just have a system where a bit more responsibility was used in reporting half truths mainly. JWS

Re: RMS Britannic
John, one word and a good journalist will concoct a story beyond belief, their only aim is to sell copy. They can claim that the information came from secreted sources and they may not be divulged. Any one who takes the word of any journalist to be truthful is walking a very fine line.
