HMS Bronington sinks
This is quite sad.
Used to often see her when we were in Birkenhead going up to the PanOcean berth right up at the top end of the system.
There was also a WW2 German? submarine up on the dockside.
Is that museum still there and if not what happened to the exhibits.

John I think Peel Holdings told them they had to move (2006)moved to Woodside Ferry Terminal. They couldn't move her as she was and had to cut her into 5 sections 2 have since been rejoined.

Re: HMS Bronington sinks
Sent in post but has disappeared, this is second go. Used to work occasionally with HMS Bonnington after Prince Charles left her. Can remember lying alongside her in Plymouth, and doing a tour over the ship. As far away from the Hilton as possible to get. Sorry to hear about her. That class of Minehunter were all cramped for space. But were much used and practical vessels and the work horses of the navy. JS
