Tranquil WEE Places you have visited in MN

This is not in the MNavy days,but this little spot that i lived at for 6Months,was to me one of the best spots ever!
Was actually Hitching to Jo'burg and got invited to have a rest with a complete stranger at this spot. They were camping out on the Beach!
Well landed up staying with them (had a lovely Daughter) after which i went on to Jo'burg hell i should have stayed haha!
Landed up working for the old Guy making Bricks by hand! Heavy work!

Groot Brak Rivier near George and Knysna in South Africa on the lovely Garden Route!
What a beautifull place!

I realise some will say I am biased ( as a welsh born person ), but I must agree with x taffy 2, We visited Beauty Point in Tasmania on the Suevic, in 1955 for a load of Apples. It was, a delightful place. I have visited it a few times since retirement, and it has not changed!. It is still delightful. Terence Williams. R539301.

John.I have lived on the Island since 73. Went to Port Alice [3 hrs north]for the first time last summer.As you say, beautiful. Dont think you would see much change.

Hi Frank. In the 50-60 used to dock in Vancouver. Ladies & escorts in one side of the pub,men in other.
Sister lived there, so all hands would go with her so we could get in the ladies side.Got banned from more places then I can remember.Sister not amused. Didnt even come to the docks to wave good bye.

John. Did an 8 month trip on the Sarah Bowater. Home port was Cornerbrook. Was like an old west town. Lucky I met a girl who was friendly, and her old man made screech. Both kept me warm on those cold Newfoundland evenings.

hi i was in BP.in 61.it was a real beuty,but i think i recall two bars,one we used,i think the officers went to the other.another great place trincomalee one of the nicest beaches ever,and we could never the monkies,regards john meekin r654939
