Thomas John Lazarus
Hello
This is my first posting so thank you for accepting me and I hope I have posted in the correct place
I am doing some family research on the Lazarus family from Llanbedrgogh, Anglsey.
Thomas John Lazarus joined the Merchant Navy in 1912 identity number -100605 discharge number - 901741.
Crew list records show me his various postings, the last one being from 1940 where he departed from Halifax Nova Scotia and arrived on March 14th in New York, New York.
I know that he be came a Canadian citizen in 1932 and work for Imerial Oil Limited, 56, Church Street, Toronto, Ontario.
His younger brothers Henry and Owen were also merchant seamen.
Thomas Lazarus died in Montreal in 1943; family rumour says that he drowned. Is there any way of clarifying this. I have a copy of his death certificate, however in Canada they do not record how the person died or give an informant.
Any information on the Lazarus boys would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you in advance for your help.

#1, Hi Jane, Sorry could not find any details on the death of Thomas John. All that I found available is below, which you may have already? He was a passenger on both ships not crew. If you have the exact date of death the local paper of the time should have a record of the drowning. [Try library in his area. Similar circumstances in my own tree. 1885].
If you can provide country, date of birth & death for Henry & Owen I'll certainly have a look for them. Marian
PS, Just found this, not sure if it is of any use?
