#21, Oh Charlie, I fear it is way too late. The crew appear to have had no chance at all

Judging by pictures I have seen of her under way and fully loaded, there was not a lot of free-board for Pentland Firth bad weather. I would guess she was battened down and then overwhelmed suddenly with the crew trapped in the accommodation. They would have stood very little chance of escape poor things. My thoughts are with their families.
