There are some fantastic views of Liverpool taken from the helicopter following the cycle race. Theres not a ship in sight unfortunately

john we all can remember the forest of masts the thousands from all over the globe dock road packed with wagons horse and carts the smells from molasses to stinking hides dockers on bikes now its a ghost road from one end to the other I tell my kids what it was like in the 50s/60s and even the French prisoners that built a lot of the dock walls still standing from napoleons wars. it may sound sad but I bet every major port is exactly the same the ships of today carry 30/40times as the old cargo ships move with the times no thanks??jp
