If you have time between house maintenance and you still have your discharge book, there has been an advert running for a couple of weeks now, wanting crew for a split hopper dredger. So get yourself down there and earn some nice extra moolah.

already applied for thejob jim but but they said ,,,,,,they werent that hard up ......a good old mate of mine from shields passed away 2 years ago ....a proper seaman freddie wandlees rang me up abot 10 or 12 years ago and wss telling me he had a bosuns job when i asked him what ship he told me ....if i rember hercules ......what co ......works out of calais he said doing what run said i dead silence ...he eventually told me it was a dredger doing the french channel ports ,,,,,,,,well i said a bosun at last how many hands has that got.....me a deckhand and a boy well even he laughed ....he was with seppy kincaid as well and had agreat respect for him.........anither two long gone ....but not forgotten

Cappy... Seppy Kincaid was either the Avonmoor or Glenmoor I sailed with him. He used to take time out t teach me wire splicing etc. was a hard taskmaste but very fair. Memories coming back now. Cheers JS

john in fiji me and freddie he was jos .....we went to school together ......we were struggling to walk after being on the beer and the kava sitting under a tree .......seppy came along and sai get back aboard i will be tellinng you mammys about you ...we couldnt get up the kava had uslegless along with the beer ....a while later seppy came back ....he said you see that big fijjian with the big fuzzy hair......he has his eye on you well it was like lazarus being raised from the dead ...we were of down the beach like to blokes with one leg falling and stumbling ......happy days
