Hi Jacyn.
Sea sickness is something I had now and then in my 16 years at sea, don't let it stop you enjoying the trip, by the time you get home you will not even remember it.
Enjoy every minute and don't forget to nick anything that's collectible as souvenirs.

Took about 4 days ashore before the Western Ocean roll left, especially going up and down flights of stairs! The little pills from the purser's office helped my sea legs tremendously. I just hope I don't need them again for the return voyage.
I've been offline for a bit, having just returned to Wiltshire from a week in southern Ireland. Heading off to London in a couple of days and then back to Wiltshire for a family gathering before returning to QM2.
Will post photos when I get a chance.

Hi Jacyn nice to hear that you got to the uk alright its only a pity that you could not meet up with some of these guys on this site i am sure they would make a big fuss of you .
If you meet a passenger suffereing sea sickness get them to stand by the ships rail and stare at the horizon, it is the best cure for it as the inner ear will adjust easier that way. It also stops them from chucking up on your shoes.

Lou, I would love to have met up with a few of the lads, but I'll tell you what - I visited the Merchant Navy Memorial at Tower Hill today and was thinking of all. I've just tried to attach a couple of pics here but I seem to be having a problem. Will keep trying. We also visited HMS Belfast, very interesting.
As for the seasickness, John and Ivan, at least there was no up-chucking on my part... and I never lost my appetite!
