Re: the old man
Lou and Brian are well up the list. It was blackbeard I sailed with, have tried to emulate him but is a scraggy white, but still staying the course. Think Brian took a photo of it in its early stages, is probably too embarassed to show. You must have been the one called Jim that fell in the water or apple barrel or whatever it was. Long John Silver only had one leg so was probably related to Mary, Robs friend. Capt. Flint the parrot dont know who he was related to probably that bird you were chasing Cappy. Beleive they are calling up everyone under the age of 80 so your not quite safe yet, by the time they have built a ship in North Korea as beleive they are trying to get them on side, it should all be over, and were all going to the salt mines, theyre again me having sailed with the russkis will probably get favourable treatment. Cheers John S.

Re: the old man
Hi Cappy. Yes I think Lou must be the senior member by a long way . He sailed in the war. Alf Corbyn talks of some of the ships I recall sailing out of London also. Im 83 now and went to Vindy 1947,first trip January 1948 on Royal Mails Loch Garth stayed at sea thirty years.

Re: the old man
Welcome back Ivor, thought you'd gone ashore and missed the ship, but you've been hiding in the Bosun's locker all this time.
