Weird: work wise was at Ollie's family home today:

At the end of an overgrown lane, on the edge of the Chiltern Hills, Woodrow High House creates a wonderful range of new opportunities for more than 6,000 young people every year. Outside the classroom, we work with young people beyond their normal environment with a lasting effect on personal and social development.

Once home to the family of Oliver Cromwell, Woodrow is a 17th century manor house and quite extraordinary space. In 21st century Britain, when young people are ever-more immersed in celebrity and shopping, we think Woodrow offers something different: a home that’s 350 years old and bristling with history - with character and corners that stay in the memory long into adulthood.

After all this time and all I do, a post that in my private life is so close, but so far away.

Still touring the Cromwell abode. and will report some of what I find.

Woodrow High House (formerly Woodside House), near Amersham in Buckinghamshire, was built in the 17th century.

During the English Civil War (1642–1651) Oliver Cromwell, regicide and Lord Protector, housed his wife, Elizabeth and their daughters, Elizabeth, Mary, Frances and Bridget at the house.
