Pubs galore!
Hi Chris
Heck mate Liverpool must be the Pub Centre of the World haha!
As John says are there any other Buildings? LOL!
I cannot say that i recall any one of those Pubs ,as i only once visited Liverpool once (how sad that is) as i really would have loved to see more of it!
I did go there with a Scouser once as said but as we hit the Bottle straight off,i really cannot remember much at all!
All i do know that the Pub was quite close to the Dock Gates, but we sat there got sozzled, and when i awoke i was travelling at breakneck speed in a Train going back to London!
The things we did and cannot recall! Wish i had more sense then!
Oh well that was life!!
Cheers !
Allready said but i agree what a list of Great Pics!!

The Poste House
Just trawling through this site and noticed The Poste House in Cumberland Street. A favourite for those up for Masters in Liverpool.

So that is where all my big Pay Offs went to, when I was a Lad.
No wonder they called me Alehouse in those days, I couldnt get away from them.
Thanks for the Memory, Chris.
Cheers , Hic!

Lots of pubs
Apparently the town with the biggest ratio of pubs to residents used to be Workington and having been there a number of times I can understand why. Though most of the pubs were just houses front rooms that were licensed to sell beer but not spirits.
This obviously way back in the mists of time.
Nowadays Workington is more up market. The last time I was there (about 8 yrs ago) it was the first time in the U.K. that I have actually seen a live sex show going on in a pub.Thats what pubs need more of to bring back the punters!!!!!!!
