Default Meaning of D/O in service book

Hi can anyone tell me what the abbreviation D/O means in a merchant seamans service book ?. I have recently been given my pappas and there is quite a chunk of it filled in with D/O under the name of the ship. Any help appreciated.

    With thanks

    Leigh

    Hello Leigh,

Simply means - ditto. Just means that he did another voyage in the same ship.

    Regards

Hugh, Thank you so much for answering me.
So it means he spent most of his war service onboard the SS Delilian apart from a couple of tours on the MV Dawlish and the Eastern Prince . At least now i've got something to work on.

    Thanks again

    Leigh
