    Default re AJ's Quiz "CEUTA"

Ok AJ left the title on the picture but what was the "O " boat docked in the picture ? Orcades, Oronsay or Orsover ? ps I think it was Oronsay, anyone know ?

    Default Ceuta

Can't tell, unfortunately eyes no longer good enough. I was on Orcades in 59 and we called at Ceuta ( camels and flies come to mind) so it could be her.

looks more like Acadia with the black topping or maybe the Iberia, i don`t think that any of the "O" boats had a black topping (from what i can remember).

Hi Keith, its definatley a "Orient line ship". Orcades , Oronsay and Orsova had the (top welsh hat) added after they were built, Arcadia & Iberia didn't have that.

The picture is dated 1965, I did four trips on the Orcades from Mar '65 to Mar '66 and we didn't visit Ceuta, although it could have been the trip before I joined.

Anyone clever with Photoshop etc., might be able to get more from the photo.............

    Default Orcades for sure!

I feel that Graham is quite correct in saying it is the Orcades with the new little black top fitted in 1959.
I had cut that Pic blown it up a wee bit and Yes indeed it is!
