Crew lists
HAVE TRIED WITHOUT SUCCESS TO FIND THE SHIPS MY FATHER SERVED ON IN WW2 AND AFTER, I KNOW HE WAS ON RANGITIKI , FORT AUGUSTUS IN 1947, ERNEST G PATHY, MY MOTHER SAID HE WAS TORPEDOED TWICE, HE WAS WORKING FOR WATTS WATTS, A FEW OF THERE OWN AND MANAGED SHIPS WERE LOST, SS WANSTEAD, EMPIRE HARTEEBEESTE, TWICKENHAM WAS DAMAGED BY TORPEDO, AND OTHERS, HOW CAN I FIND THE CREW LISTS OF THE SHIPS WHEN THEY WERE LOST, ? HIS NAME WAS JAMES SAMUEL WILDING, OR JAMES SAMUEL ISAAC WILDING. CAN ANYONE HELP ME TO TRACE HIS SHIPS. THANKS, TONY WILDING.

Hello Tony,
I would forget about crew lists for the moment. You need to get his form CRS 10 first. This will list all his ships from January 1941 until he left the service. You should find it held at Kew in piece BT 382/1941
The file is best viewed by visit to Kew but can be had online for a price.

SS Fort Augustus was my 1st ship from SS vindicatrixtraining school I joined the Augustus in Barry dry dock, signed on as catering boy, we went to St Johns Newfoundland September 1947. The only name I can remember was the Master Captain Grifiths
