Yes looked like you missed the best. In the early 50s I was on a cargo boat, ten weeks in Melbourne, rail strike, quarter of the cargo on the wharf no room for more. I was night watchman, after midnight pulled up the gangway and had a kip in the galley saw a whole cricket test match England /Australia during the week,then another three weeks in Geelong wharf strike, but made good money putting up shifting boards for wheat with the shore gang. Did four trips in two years to Aus alway a strike or two going, on great times.
