desperately still in need of help:
ok received this reply:
Thank you for your e-mail in connection with your relatives W.W.II sea service.
I will require proof of sea service and the ships movements cards for the vessels served upon, this will enable me to conduct an assessment for medal entitlement. I do not require the driving licence or ID card.
Please refer to the attached info sheets it will explain what our requirements are.
Regards
Sandie Atherton (Mrs)
This is the attached sheet:

I couldn't reconcile the evidence required to what we've obtained so far (CRS-10 & 6 Individual Ship Movement Cards)
So I replied:
I read the requirements documents though I couldn't understand some of
the terms.
We have the single CRS-10 (paper document) & the Individual (specific)
Voyage/ Movement Cards for the Six Ships my Grandad journeyed on
(PDF's) ; is this everything?
Kind regards,
Oliver White
Just this was 10 days ago now, did I miss something Important?
(And again thank you for your help large & small).

Oliver,
Have you carried out the instructions in post #28. It sounds to me like Ms Atherton has not received the CRS 10 and movement cards. Have you sent them to her?
If you have sent them then you should telephone her office and find out what the problem is rather than email her.
Regards
Hugh

Quick Update
Just a quick update to say thanks for your efforts,
the National Archive Voyage Cards were good for 4 of the 6 ships,
the Guildhall is now currently researching the two missing ones:
- City of Khios 27-11-1941 to 13-07-1942
- Crista 03-01-1944 to 06-04-1945
For future reference (though can't say for sure yet as being processed) the Guildhall seems to be cheaper option & more user-friendly if complete novice...
Anyways, 10 working days Max. for these last cards (they said usually much less) to be posted. At the moment it is 3 medals confirmed from Sandie with expectation of extras; my grandad - also on this forum - can tell you which ones he's thinking of..!
Thanks guys, getting there...

Thankfully received these 3 prior to Remembrance Day. Could I please request last piece of assistance, which has been been greatly appreciated so far. We are hopeful to also be considered for the Italy Star. We have to send the papers back that were returned to us.
One of the things we learnt was that elligibility is based on Oceans though also on Ports. My Grandad as well as sailing along this coastal region docked at Naples, Bari & Civita/Civitavecchia in Italy... I'm a little concerned that this is going unrecognised e.g. on the pdf page 41 Naples is written in full as well as referred to as Nap. on other pages (Nap = Naples in Glossary at end of pdf too).
To be honest it's a little disappointing & saddening that as well as having to apply for the medals & do the research ourselves, we now are requested to return the papers to be reconsidered for the Italy Star. So if anyone knows the elligibility requirements please chime in it may well save us time.
For now, will fine comb the documents (as seen in PDF - link below) to check the elligibility of Italy Star & perhaps others. If anyone has the patience & the interest to join in with this can do so with the pdf here:
6 Voyage Cards Here ~5.3Mb
I'm almost up-to-date on the Italy Star though if anyone sees another Medal chance will reimburse time with small reward if application for it is successful...
Kind regards,
Oliver White.
Ps. If anyone needs our help now that we've been through this process quote me & I'll be glad to help.
