I think the best film of Peter O toole was `Lord Jim`.
He was 2nd Mate on a ship that was wrecked , he ended up in the Spice Islands and lived like we did in my story of The Spice Islands.
brought back a lot of memories.

John, as you so rightly say, Freedom of speech is a corner stone of democracy.
Maybe it is with this in mind that many movie makers create the ones they do.
They are made for pure entertainment and for so many the truth in the story does not matter.
With so many there will be few who will contest the content, unless it is based on fact and they were there no one else will say anything.
The movie makers rely on this when they produce some of what they call, 'based on a true story'.
Based being the operative word, that way it allows for poetic license when they produce it.
