    Default Day of the Jackal

Funny on the Day or very close to the French Election they showed this Movie on our TV ,but I must say I really once again enjoyed it!
Some good acting and the Plot is great.
Worth watching if you can get to see it!
    Cheers

Always thought Edward Fox's acting was a little stilted but the plot was terrific. Take a look at Coronation Street and that dodgy 'groomer' Nathan looks the image of Edward Fox.

The book was a fantastic read, miles better than the film.
I made the mistake of reading the book before seeing the film , kept making comparisons.

Yes many times reading the Book before seeing a Film actually spoils the Viewing a bit,but that cannot be helped I suppose!
Like the other one I read the Book at first as well ,but must say that it did not spoil the Film version " Rough Male" with Peter O'Toole

    Hi Vernon.
Haven't seen the film but read the book, for some reason films don't come up to the books, I suppose its because our minds put a different slant on the story, I read roughly two books a week, now into all Kathy Reich's books from which they took the series Bones, I saw that series but the books are far superior.
    Cheers Des

The only film I ever considered was as good as the book and almost word for word was the Godfather.

But sadly many films taken from books become a version the director sees as how it is.
    Happy daze John in Oz.

Life is too short to blend in.
