This Movie was a later one released in 1974 with Charlton Heston,it sure was a first of its kind as far as Cinema effects had!
I was with Irene at the Movie House in Durban ,one of our regular outings at that time!
Well all I can say that the terrific effects that they did were so real with the quakes that when the Big one came everybody,jumped! Literally!
They had somehow put special Speakers in each seat,which made the Earthquake seen as if you were actually in it! Scary really I must say!
But a good Movie and I enjoyed it!

Reading this old Post, brings ne to the question for others that may know the answer to??

That Cinima that i mention in my opening Thread here , in Durban (Earthquake) i still cannot recall the actual name of it, i have a feeling it may have been the 20th Century?? Anyone.

Also somethng that is bugging me is the name of the Hotel on the Corner of Aliwal and Smith Streets Durban, was a Two Story Hotel, very popular and had a lovely long Balcony

This was an Hotel that nearly got me in heaps of trouble, but for luck on my side that at the time i had my Seamans ID with me, so in place of getting thrown in a cell in Point Road i was escorted back to the Ship! Whew! Close shave, and also as luck went got aweay with a clean slate! Oh happy days!!
